Starter/Ranger
Job Overview:
As a Golf Course Starter/Ranger, you will play a vital role in managing the pace of play and ensuring a smooth experience on the course. The ideal candidate is friendly, punctual, and passionate about golf with a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet Golfers: Provide a warm, welcoming first impression for all golfers arriving at the first tee.
  • Coordinate Tee Times: Ensure that players begin their rounds at their assigned times to maintain course flow.
  • Monitor Pace of Play: Maintain the established pace of play and address slow groups in a respectful and constructive manner.
  • Enforce Course Rules: Communicate and enforce golf course rules and etiquette.
  • Assist Golfers: Offer information on course layout, hazards, and local rules; answer questions and provide guidance as needed.
  • Course Patrols: Regularly drive through the course to check on pace, assist golfers, and address any safety concerns.
  • Report Incidents: Notify management of any on-course issues, such as rule infractions, accidents, or weather-related challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Passion for Golf: Basic understanding of golf rules, etiquette, and a love for the game.
  • Customer Service Skills: Friendly, approachable, and able to communicate effectively with golfers of all skill levels.
  • Self-Motivated: Able to work independently with little supervision.
  • Physically Active: Ability to be on your feet for extended periods and to operate a golf cart.
  • Availability: Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and early mornings, as required by the golf course schedule.

Pro Shop Staff 
Job Overview

As a Pro Shop Staff Member, you’ll handle day-to-day operations of the pro shop, provide outstanding customer service, assist with merchandise sales, and support tee-time scheduling. This role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about golf, enjoys engaging with people, and can thrive in a team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet members and guests with a friendly, professional attitude
  • Assist customers with merchandise sales and golf-related purchases
  • Operate the cash register and process transactions accurately
  • Answer phone calls and assist with scheduling tee times
  • Monitor the pro shop's appearance and maintain cleanliness and organization
  • Help with merchandising, stocking shelves, and setting up displays
  • Provide information about golf course policies

Requirements

  • Previous experience in customer service or retail (golf industry experience is a plus)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of golf and golf equipment preferred but not required
  • Basic computer skills, including POS systems and Microsoft Office
  • Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays

Cart Staff
Butter Brook Golf Club is looking for friendly and reliable individuals to join our team as Golf Cart Staff.
In this role, you will ensure our golf carts are clean, charged, and ready for our guests, while providing excellent customer service. 

Responsibilities:

  • Clean, charge, and maintain golf carts.
  • Ensure carts are available and in good condition.
  • Follow and enforce all safety rules.
  • Clear all trash off of golf course 

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends.
  • Valid driver’s license.
